Day #343 in a Year of Thanks:
I’m thankful that my butterfly pea flower powder stock has been replenished.
I ran out of my butterfly pea flower powder a while ago, and haven’t gotten around to buying it again until a few days ago. If you haven’t heard of butterfly pea flowers before, it’s a tropical plant that is native to Southeast Asia, and it is a nutritional powerhouse that contains a massive array of beneficial compounds that contribute to their health-promoting properties. The flower is packed with antioxidants, and it supports weight loss, reduces/stabilizes blood sugar levels, boost immune system function, supports eye health, enhances cognitive function, and more. You can read all about it in this Food Ten article. To me, it doesn’t have much taste, but I mainly mix it into drinks or yogurt, and I can’t wait to have some of it during my next eating window.
