Some Ways to Remain Calm When Life Gets Tough
Part 2:
- Revisiting an old hobby. If there aren’t any old hobbies, create a new one.
- Prioritization. Decide what’s important right now and say no to extra obligations, or delegate them to a later time.
- Sleep. Sleep is vital to our everyday well-being. We should be ensuring we get around 7-8 hours of sleep.
- Being silly. Do something we did as children. The point is not to take life so seriously all the time.
- Crying. Sometimes crying is good, as it releases all that pent-up emotional energy. When it’s this kind of cry, releasing all that emotional energy will make us feel better.
- Checking Self-Talk. Negative self-talk does not serve us. Ever.
- Journaling. Developing the habit of journaling can help clear our minds.
- Self-Reminders that life is a journey. This lie is just temporary, and whatever we are going through will also be temporary, and it will pass.
