On a post about quotes that live rent-free in one’s mind, I saw this quote, and it’s a good one. So many people will criticize us for the decisions we make, but I didn’t even realize until now that they rarely consider the choices we face, unless they care enough to bring attention to the issue. I’ve been learning to let go of those unwarranted judgments, because all they do is trade my peace and joy for stress and drama, especially when they don’t care to know why I made the decisions that led to their criticisms. As I continue to grow in this area, I am finding more peace and joy, and I can keep doing what I need to do for myself and my well-being. My peace and my happiness are more important to me than ever before.
