“So, what if, instead of thinking about solving your whole life, you just think about adding additional good things. One at a time. Just let your pile of good things grow.”—Rainbow Rowell
There are things in life that will always require a solution or resolution from us. However, the part of the quote that interests me is the idea of adding good things to our lives, one at a time. Darren Hardy had written a book called The Compound Effect, which is a good book I’ve read. He frequently discusses how to utilize the compound effect to achieve greater success in many aspects of our lives by analyzing and improving our choices, habits, momentum, and influences, and how to accelerate everything, allowing it all to build upon one another using the following formula:
Small, Smart Choices + Consistency + Time = Radical Difference
I think we can apply today’s quote to the compound effect as well. Let’s build one good thing upon another. If you haven’t read Darren Hardy’s book, I highly recommend it. I would rate it at 10 out of 5 stars. In fact, I’m going to reread it!
