I’ve actually had people tell me to tone down my cheery and peppy tone, and I’ve had others complain behind my back about how positive and happy I am all the time. It’s hurtful when these things are said, but the truth is, I’ll never be able to control how people receive my energy. I may not know what battles they’re facing, but I won’t compromise myself in matters of love, kindness, and integrity, because these are the things that teach me to be a better person. This is a powerful quote. Let the haters hate, and the complainers complain, just as long as you don’t go compromising yourself in matters of love, kindness, and integrity.
