Day #97 in A Year of Thanks

Day #97 in A Year of Thanks:
I’m thankful I can finally start reading Sonia Ognibene’s A2-B1 Italian mystery-suspense collection.

Those who are learning a second language, or multiple languages, will understand how delighted I am to have finally reached a good reading level in my language studies with Italian. Sonia Obigbene’s mystery-suspense series has been sitting on my desk for a while, waiting for me to read it. Sonia designed this collection of books for learners at the A2-B1 level of Italian language proficiency. I’m thrilled to announce that I have successfully completed Chapter One of the first book in the series, Non puoi essere tu (It Can’t Be You). I was able to write a full page in my notebook of vocabulary that I’d never seen before, which I reviewed as I read through the chapter. Then, I went back and read it out loud without using the notebook as a reference. I feel like a kid at Christmas, getting the gift I wanted most. I am so happy right now!
