Day #28 in A Year of Thanks

Day #28 in A Year of Thanks:
I’m thankful for Duolingo.

Bejeweled? Nah.
Candy Crush? Nah.
Words with Friends? Nah.
Duolingo? Bring it on, baby!

I’m a die-hard Duolingo fan who’s been a member of the language-learning app since 2016. If you were to look through my phone, this is the only gaming app you’d see installed. I love that app so much I even have the Duo stuffy. I’m currently on an 800-day streak, though I didn’t take the daily streak part of the app seriously until I got a bad enough concussion a couple years ago, which severely impacted my ability to cook, drive, read, see, and work. While under treatment for occupational and physical therapies for it, I was told that one of the best things I could do to get the neurons in my brain firing again was use apps like Duolingo, and I’ve just been using it daily ever since. I prefer using it at night before bed because I find it easier to retain my multilingual knowledge that way. Yes, I am learning more than one language on the app, but I think I’ll keep that as one of my hidden mysteries. Anyway, it goes without saying that I’m thankful for Duolingo.
