Day #17 in A Year of Thanks:
I’m thankful for my sofa.
I know this one seems a bit strange, but whenever I’m sick with the flu or a cold that is bad enough to affect my ability to breathe, I camp out in the living room on one of my sofas. We cover our couches with soft, microfiber blankets that make the sofas cozy. Most importantly, the backing of the sofas provides an elevation level for me that my bed can’t, and the elevation level with the couch’s back support is perfect for helping me keep my sinuses as clear as possible; otherwise, I’ll panic if I sleep in bed because I can’t drain my sinuses properly. I finally got some decent sleep last night, though now I’m experiencing a new symptom of COVID, which is that I can’t keep any food or fluids down, and Grams is still feeling absolutely horrible. I really pray that our illnesses don’t last too much longer. Abba is still good, though, as He’s good all the time, and all the time, He is good. Thank you for being patient with me regarding the daily positivity post. This is all I have to say for today, so ciao for now, and hopefully tomorrow brings a better day!
