“The time to relax is when you don’t have time for it.”—Sydney J. Harris
This quote by Sydney J. Harris packs a powerful punch of wisdom: “The time to relax is when you don’t have time for it.” While it’s important not to let our days slip by without working on goals and seeking new opportunities, it’s equally vital we don’t work so hard that we burn out. I’ve been at both ends of the spectrum, and it doesn’t bode well for overall productivity and well-being. I speak from experience when I say that burnout is real. If you find yourself so busy and on the go while feeling like there aren’t enough hours in the day to finish your to-do list and get to everything else that needs your attention, that’s a sign that you need to at least take a few minutes to relax here and there. Finding the perfect balance is tricky, but it is definitely doable and works well in the long run.
