“My life has always been unplanned. So when something comes along, I feel like, why not give it a try? It’s fun to experiment like that.“—Yoko Ono
Regarding the pursuit of life and all its incredible discoveries just waiting for us to experience and enjoy, Yoko Ono shares a golden nugget of wisdom with this quote: “My life has always been unplanned. So when something comes along, I feel like, why not give it a try? It’s fun to experiment like that.” Life is all about trial and error, seeing through experimentation what works for us in success and what doesn’t in failure. I can’t remember where I heard this from, but we all make around 50,000 mistakes throughout our lives.
There’s so much beauty in these failures because experience is the best teacher. Failure can be hard on anyone, and some people can be extremely critical of themselves, but all that does is bring us into a negative mindset, and it doesn’t do us any favors. Been there, done that. Why not take those trials and errors and make good use of them? Don’t ever be too hard on yourself. Forgive yourself of whatever mistake you made and learn from it. Take the experience and use it to be and do better. Without risk, there is no reward, so live in the moment, try out the beautiful opportunities life is bringing to your doorstep, and have fun with it.
